The Kitchen Spritzer and Chef’s Silicone Basting Brush

These tools are on my “must have” list for many reasons! And I have three of the Kitchen Spritzer and three of the Chef’s Silicone Basting Brush. Whether I’m baking, cooking or BBQing, I rely on these to make “release” of the food easy as well as cleanup! I use to use a commercial can of oil spray and realized that it leaves a sticky residue, which made for a difficult cleanup!

Many baking recipes call for “greasing” the pan or dish you will be baking in. Depending on which pan I am using, I can use either the Kitchen Spritzer or the Chef’s Silicone Basting Brush. In my cake pans I prefer to brush the oil on the bottom. Of course, my pans are non-stick so I do not use a lot of oil. When I am making muffins, I spray the oil on the inside of the liners. It’s all a matter of preference in what works best for you!

I love to grill fresh vegetables and fresh fruits. So, I spray my grill baskets so that the vegetable or fruit does not stick to the basket and the grill – I don’t want to risk loosing any of the yummy food being stuck to the grill or basket.

The Kitchen Spritzer

The Kitchen Spritzer has a filter so you can create your own infused oils! You can put your favorite herb in the vessel with the oil! These are great on salads! You can also use any oil such as: canola oil, grape seed oil, olive oil, vegetable oil, coconut oil, avocado or even vinegar! The bottle and sleeve are dishwasher safe and the inside parts need to be hand washed.

The Chef’s Silicone Basting Brush is also great for egg wash and brushing butter on pastry!

It works great for smoothing oil on any pan or surface. When I get a new stone I prefer brushing the oil on to help season the surface. I do the same with my cast iron pans.

The Chef’s Silicone Basting Brush

It also has a hook for easy hanging so that it can rest inside a bowl. And it’s dishwasher safe!
