About Me

Welcome to my blog Cooking with Barbara. I am an Independent Pampered Chef Consultant and a grandmother of seven beautiful grandchildren! Spending time in the kitchen cooking is something I enjoy doing.

One of the most common phrases I hear is “I don’t have time to cook!”  If this is a common phrase for you, I know exactly where you are coming from.  After a full day of getting everyone ready and off to school, work or what else needs to be done for the day, then off work to pick up everyone, take to this activity or that event, then everyone wants to know – what’s for dinner.  By this point, you are so tired you just want to enjoy a glass of wine and slip into a bubbly tub of warm water to relax and exude the stress from your life for the day! Right?

Usually the convenient “drive thru” wins the meal for the night which means that you have spent too much money, the food is far from nutritious and you might even feel guilty but . . . it’s done and off your plate for tonight with a “promise” to do better tomorrow.  Yet, the cycle begins again and is a repeat of the day before.  Not to mention how many “preservatives” you are putting in your body which has no idea what to do with these chemicals.   Most people have no idea just what preservatives they are ingesting daily and how harmful these chemicals are to your health. Take care of your health now and you won’t “pay for it later!”

Let’s face it, the cycle seems daunting and you just don’t know if you can get it together!  Yes you can and you will be surprised how easy it can be.  With the right tools and recipes, you can change the cycle.

From making freezer meals to preparing fresh meals, it is easier than you think to get on a healthy eating cycle!  And, the best benefit is getting your family in the kitchen with you.  This really is quality family time and that in itself is a huge benefit!
